Joe Dassin's autograph [le dimanche américain]

Joe Dassin was Jules Dassin's son and it would be even strange if he hadn't tried himself in the movies. But his movie career was short: five minor roles and a job of assistant producer in three more movies. Nevertheless, it does not mean that Joe Dassin was a bad actor - to quit cinema was his own decision made mostly for the sake of singing.

Here I listed all the movies Joe took part in.

  • Celui qui doit mourir (by Jules Dassin) (1957) - role
  • La Loi (by Jules Dassin) (1958) - role of Loafer; two songs
  • Topkapi (by Jules Dassin) (1964) - role of Joseph the Gipsy; assistant producer
  • Cri de femmes (Dreams of Passion) (by Jules Dassin) (1978) - duet with Melina Mercouri
  • Lady L. (by Peter Ustinov) (1965) - role of Policeman
  • Le Trèfle rouge (?) (?) - role
  • What's New Pussycat? (by Clive Donner) (1965) - assistant producer
